Gregor Vulturius
Research Associate
Gregor Vulturius is a research associate at the Stockholm Environment Institute, an international independent research institute promoting sustainable development. Gregor was born in Berlin and has lived for extended periods in Italy, New Zealand and Ecuador, before moving to Sweden four years ago. He has gained a B.A. in Sociology and Geography from Martin Luther University, Germany and a M.A. in Spatial Planning and Development from Umeå University, Sweden. Gregor has also attended courses at the University of Nordland, Norway and the Higher School of Economics, Russia. He has published on the issues of climate change adaptation, science communication, flood risk management as well as insurance and has attended a large number of academic conferences and UN expert workshops. In his spare time, Gregor would like to spend more time hiking in the Scandinavian mountains, reading classic Greek mythology and practicing his cooking skills. He is coming down to the Swiss Alps, not to hike, but to discuss the relationship climate change has to modern media.
